Woh, woh, woh {{ first_name }}, my kiddo making days are officially behind me, but sometimes you need to nurture your business (like a baby) and give it time to simmer before making any drastic changes. Hear me out.
So this week I finally launched my completely revamped Studio Talent Collective website and I'm ridiculously excited about it.
And here's the funny thing: it only took me two days to rebuild it.
But it took me nine months to get to the point where I could rebuild it in two days.
At the beginning of this year, I made a really conscious decision about where I wanted Studio Talent Collective to go. What I wanted the brand to represent, who I wanted to serve, how I wanted to position the business and what I wanted the next chapter to look like.
And over the last nine months, I've essentially built my brand baby. 😂 (nawww she's so beautiful)
WHAT'S CHANGED?
I moved the domain from my personal name across to Studio Talent Collective, developed the new branding, created the logo, colours and visual identity, and got much clearer about what the business actually is.
The problem was, my website hadn't caught up.
I had been doing what I think a lot of us do in business: building on top of what already existed.
New offer? Add a page. New idea? Add another section. New direction? Tweak the old one.
Eventually, you end up with a website that's basically a digital junk drawer.
Everything is there... but nobody can find anything. GAH!
So I stopped.
I stripped it right back, removed the clutter and rebuilt the key pages around the clarity I now have about the brand.
And honestly, it's not perfect. There are still things I'll tweak. But it is leaps and bounds better, and most importantly, it finally feels like Studio Talent Collective.
It also means I can head into the next phase of the business with a clean slate. #yay

Next week, we're heading into pre-launch for our upcoming Studio Talent Collective bonus campaign, and I'm preparing to open the doors to more studio owners who want to bring talent management and industry opportunities into their studios.
We now have 30 studios partnered with us and nearly 700 artists represented nationwide, which is pretty incredible to look back on.
And you'll actually see that growth reflected on the updated website too, including our new Locations section showing where we're working across Australia.
So, if you've been thinking about your own website, brand or business and you've been doing the classic "I'll just add this to the existing thing..." for the last three years (like I did)... 🤦🏻♀️
Maybe it's time to stop adding and start clearing.
Sometimes you don't need to build more.
You just need to make space for what you've already become.
Anyway, enough from me.
